Exciting final weekend of the Premiership.

Regardless of what team you follow the 2011/12 Barclays Premier League has been one of the greatest ever, players and teams alike setting more and more records. Ups and downs, controversy, big results, amazing goals and maybe a new name on that prestigious trophy.

Until now only 4 teams have been able to lift the Premier league trophy:

  • Manchester Utd
  • Chelsea
  • Arsenal
  • Blackburn Rovers
But is this the year that the power in Manchester shifts?
Have Manchester City bought themselves the title?

Although the spotlight this Sunday will undoubtedly be on Manchester City V QPR and Sunderland V Manchester Utd. There are plenty of other games that have significant meaning for the clubs involved.

  • The race for Champions League places, Everton V Newcastle Utd and Tottenham Hotspur V Fulham
  • Europa spots
  • and the toughest situation for the likes of Bolton and QPR fighting for their lives to stay in this the greatest league in the world.
All the other final day fixtures:
  • Stoke City V Bolton Wanderers
  • Wigan Athletic V Wolves
  • Norwich City V Aston Villa
  • Chelsea V Blackburn Rovers
  • Swansea City V Liverpool
  • West Brom V Arsenal
What are your thoughts?
What colour is Manchester going to be?
Who is going to get that champions league spot?
Who will drop out and join Blackburn and Wolves in the Championship?

  1. Don't think the power will shift even if Citeh lift the trophy. United will be back and stronger than ever. It's a tough one to call though, would like to see Bolton stay up,mbut want QPR to beat Man City sounded can lift the trophy. Hope Totenham get that Champions League spot but that will be an interesting battle.
All in all a great weekend to come, you can't beat a final exciting day, just like Valley Parade when Bradford beat Liverpool to stay in the Premier League.

    1. Yea great memories from that final day down at Valley Parade, and we must never forget those that were lost all those years ago in the fire down there.
I have to agree I hope Bolton can stay up, they have been through a lot this year not to mention the scare we all went through when Fabrice Muamba went down at Spurs. Spurs would be my choice for the champions league as I believe they need another shot at it last time they were in the CL they were a little inexperienced but Harry them playing some lovely football these days.
Both Man City and Utd only have themselves to claim for not claiming the title they both had it and lost it so will be interesting.
